An inflatable astronaut costume converted into a PAPR suit for respiratory protection

An alternative to a painter's suits that might stand out a little.

PAPR Suit from Inflatable Costume

Similar to the positive pressure suit we made before, using painter’s suits, we made another one using an inflatable costume. This will work with any similar inflatable suit, like the silly dinosaur, but being space cases we went for the astronaut.

The principle is the same: the blower feeds air into the suit, creating positive air pressure that leaves the suit. You breathe only this air, and the high volume of intake combined with the imperfectly sealed suit will evacuate your CO2. No harmful air comes into the suit because of the positive air pressure - outside air can only enter through the filter.

Instructions on how to make it can be found here.
